European Conference on Renewable Energy Systems in Madrid

7th European Conference on Renewable Energy Systems was held from 10 to 12 June in the Spanish city Madrid, with 482 scientists from 42 countries looking for solutions on the development and use of renewable energy, including waste. The most important research initiatives and directions presented in a conference were innovative approaches of thermochemical storage of energy, solutions for biomass processing for oil extraction and others. The University of Latvia was represented with a report of prof. Maris Klavins and PhD student Dmitry Porsnov “PROGRESS TOWARDS WASTE-TO-ENERGY APPROACH IMPLEMENTATION: GASIFICATION OF RECYCLE DERIVED FUEL”, that includes the most current outcomes of the current research project. Prof. M. Klavins also chaired the conference section and participated in planning the organization of the next conference series.
