In the latest issue of the magazine “Enerģija un Pasaule” a popular scientific article on the history of thermochemical processes (Latvian only) and the use of their products in our region is published. Matherial is prepared by our project teammate Dmitry Porshnov and covers usage of thermochemical technologies in our region since the beginning of our era. The article illustrates the evolution of the thermal processes starting from simple burning and reaching today’s widely used pyrolysis and gasification, as well as their potential application – waste recycling. The material has been prepared within the framework of the project “Variable fuel gasification for municipal solid waste recovery”.
